Trials Bicycles

I guess this bike is maybe a 2003, Martin may know or Garth. However, there are no issues.
I need to put the brakes back on after a proper bleed, replacing with better although
used pads. Put the seat back on. The pictures are of the bike hanging upside down
under skis in the garage. So yea, they are a bit silly to look at.

New front tire, FSA (I think?) headset, new chain of course, options on pedals, I have
several pairs form shin shredders to basic old school Monty? Jim has asked for
this bike many times, but I am not motivated to sell it plus it's not even mine but the
college kid will say yea likely.

I think that bike is much older than that.. A pure relic! My old riding buddy found one on Blocket ( Craigslist equivalent ) in BRAND NEW condition. I must say, that's one heck of a bunny hop machine!

I wish I had an old Monty to fool around with. I miss short wheelbase, I think I need more bikes!

Oh, and I do like your fridge! Mine isn't as pimped out as yours but it does have an Inspired sticker on it!

That was me a few years ago. I bought a trials motorcycle and began competing after about a year. The trials bicycle has improved (I think) my trials riding, but I am not so sure how much of a direct improvement the bicycle will give you on the 2T. I suppose every bit helps, but the trials M/C is IMO the way to go if your main focus will still be trail riding.

You're probably right....in addition to balance improvement with an M/C I would be using throttle/clutch control also.

Made up a little Trials course for Aidan, in the driveway.











Due to BMX Racing, he doesn't get to spend much time on the Trials bike. He sure learns quickly thou. He's going to start doing some trials events, for the fun of it, in a couple of months.

I've been call many things, over the years...but, all american, isn't one of them .

I had a BIG cup of coffee. this morning. Then Aidan said he wanted to do more trials riding. So....this stuff happened.

Thank you so much Tony, Aidans going to LOVE this.

He practiced: Track standing, hopping and rocking this morning... before school.

I had to lay down a rule this morning. NO trials practice, until his BMX practice is completed.......he agreeded.

State Champ race in six weeks (BMX), then, first Trials event...the next weekend. He can't wait.

Next it will be back yard alley dumpster diving. It really gets ugly from here Jim. Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot. I learned to start small diversionary fires in the bathroom or corner parking lot, then I grab those bad ass blue ones.

I'm from Chicago Tony, there is a BIG list of things that have followed me home. When we're at a trial togeather, sitting around a fire, I'll tell you the story of a Hall's safe (a couple tons worth) and a rental truck.

I was planning this liberation, for weeks. At my sons school, they have been installing solar panels. When they delivered them, I saw the pallets . As I watch my the forward progress of the install. I saw the stack of pallets slowly grow . They finished the first phase of the install and I knew the time was just right...

I've been in construction my whole life. The van was empty and I was ready to strike. After the parking lot was empty from the morning drop offs. I scanned the workers to see who was the Super of the job. It's so easy to tell. As I approached him, of course, he was on the phone. We made eye contact and I stepped back, to allow him to have his conversation.

He ended this phone call, I introduced myself by name and told him my son went to school here. I then told him I was building something REALLY cool for my son and needed the pallets (I knew not to say anything about Trials, then I'd have to explain ALL the details).

He smiled, and said YES, then...he even offered to help me load them into my van......

He then told me when the pallets from phase two, would be ready for pickup.

I unloaded the pallets in my driveway and have let them sit for a few days. Just to freak out the neighbors, "what the HELL is Garthe building NOW"...I'm sure they are all talking about the pallets on facebook...

In this shit world that we are living in now, these small victorys, mean a lot.
