OK, I will play. All estimates. YMMV

1150 GS Rated 85 HP probably 70-75 rear wheel. Engine is all stock. Set up the way I have it with Jesse's lights etc, 600 + or - 10lbs. If I keep it in the right gear, power is seldom an issue. Will cruise all day at 85 or more without breathing hard. But a couple of extra ponies would be nice, which is why BMW made the 1200 GS.

Bonneville T100 EFI Rated 70 HP I guess 60 rear wheel with TORS and Tune. I guess 515 lbs with the hard bag set up with luggage rack. Again, enough power if you row the gears a bit. Very fun bike. Cruises at 70+ on the highway as well.

Sym Fiddle II 125 Rated 8.7 HP I guess 6 if I am lucky. Listed at 250 lbs. OK, this little guy can use a few extra ponies. But I can't help giggling every time I ride it.

Hmmm...954rr is supposedly 153 HP and 370 (dry). Figure another 40lbs for fluids. I've also put a different slip-on pipe and went Shorai on the battery.

Conclusion: Batshit crazy and I can see having more. S1000RR or new CBR1000RR territory?

Its never enough.

I have a ZRX1100 with a turbo setup on it. It can run 10lbs of boost on pump gas. I'm guessing it makes about 190hp (its been dynoed at 17 lbs of boost on race gas, made 250hp).

The Zrex has about a 500lb curb weight.

When I first got this bike it scared me. I've gotten used to it and it is starting to feel a little mundane when I twist the throttle open now. I'm thinking about doing a few mods so it will run higher boost pressure on pump gas.

So if you're the kind of rider that like to twist the throttle hard to get a little rush now and then, you never have enough horsepower. You get used to what you have and it just becomes the norm.

God I love Supermoto... Both my bikes don't weigh that much. My 250 and my 625.

The NX is 283, and the D2 is @ 320. Both have enough.

I'm more of a Lotus Elise/Exige man anyway. Pack light, and prefer the handling/economy over POWER!!!

I"ll join in. I guess I'm a minimalist.

2000 DRZ400(35-40 hp, 320 lb) is great, power everywhere, cruises down freeway at 65 no problem, fun on the trails, ect. Maybe a little more then needed in town but I appreciate the power on more open roads.

89 nx125, 13 hp and roughly 250 lb. I love this bike because it brings me back to the roots of motorcycling, air cooled, low power, low weight, super simple to work on and and to use/ride. Around town is it's element. However, that hasn't stopped me from taking extended (100-200 miles) dual sport rides. It cruises at 55 like a dream until you hit a hill (45 or lower depending on grade). Top end is around 65 (WFO with my skinny arse). It's main quality is low weight so nimble off road, and fuel economy (100 mpg). Is it enough? If you're not in a hurry, hell yeah. I wouldn't hesitate to throw some bags on it and tour the country with it. If time is a factor, nah. But, that's really the joy in the thing, it reminds you that speed isn't everything.
