Motion X for $.99 is an amazing deal. I expect they make their $$$ fron annual voice nav subscriptions on Motion X Drive. Motion X may the hook. It worked on me!

I've always used the google maps app that came with the phone. Works great. I don't follow it road by road though. Just map out my destination, then look it over. Remember major turns and distances, then just cruise along. When I know I'm getting close to something, I'll pick it up and zoom in. Hasn't failed me yet. Recently just did a Fly-n-drive with a vehicle in NY. Drove back to NC following back roads/hwys the whole way without a problem.
