Nashville sacks up and keeps their superstar. Good. Suck it Philly.
Offer sheets suck.

I love NBC's ProHockeyTalk blog. So delightfully snarky, and the rubes posting comments are so tantalizingly stupid. Good times.
![]() They'll sort it out before the regular season, I'm sure.

NHL cannot afford to alienate fans, they will play.

So, should we start to get pumped for the AHL season! Yay lockout. I just got my Monarchs season tickets squared away.

Premium seats are like 700. Gold is 600. I went with one premium and a youth. The youth was 400. I need a nice back up plan.

Six days until the owners lock out the players.
Last I heard they not only want the cap lowered but to roll back all existing contracts.. that's gotta be a tough pill for the guys that just signed UFA deals this summer for upwards of a decade and a hundred million dollars. I wonder how long til one sues claiming the contract was not written in good faith since the owners had met and discussed strategy for the labor negotiations before the UFA period (no idea if that is true, but I wonder if it is and if one will go there). |

They want to drop the cap from 70 mil to 58 mil. They also want to split the profits 50/50.
I am quite sure the players will not cave in. The owners will cave first.

Can the owners afford to cave? I know the Bruin's are in a much better position to do that than many franchises. That is going to be the problem.
