On a DR? That is against the rules in some rule book somewhere... I am sure of it.

I won't own a motorcycle without one. Seriously, I use mine so much, if I didn't have it, I'd just use the car. Groceries, work laptop, dog food, garden supplies, firewood, beer, and so on, all get carried in the trunk or sidebags.

I love all motorcycles, but I'm only interested in bikes that I can mount luggage on.

If I cared about what a bike looked like, I'd ride a Ducati or a Guzzi.

Lood gord, the "blivit bike" is so bad that the dealer is trying to unload it on fleabay- no takers with less than 3 days left.

They need to separate the bike from the wart and try again.....and increase the reserve on both.

I think

Top boxes are a good idea, however it's all in the execution and the proportion of the box, the bike and the attachment.

When i see a medium size bike with a Huge Top box that is mounted way up off the fender and looks like a flying saucer in hot pursuit it just drives me insane.

I understand being able to lock your helmet up however if you can fit your helmet in the box then it's probably too big in my opinion unless you are on a really big bike.

That said i have a Pelican (10x14x6) and a rack on the way for my DR650 so i won't need to wear a backpack all the time when commuting to work.

They could sell Raffle Tickets to see who gets the chance to take a baseball bat to it... You know, for Charity.

I used to swap mine between my DR and a Ninja650R like the abomination below.

The DR Picture looks like you are taking home a trophy after a successful Giant Killer Ant Hunt.

I have a Pelican 1500 case, I'd like to mouint it on my Bandit. I was going to drill holes through the bottom and bolt it to the luggage rack on the back, but I don't want to put holes in it. How do they mount?

You can purchase kits with all the hardware and a mounting plate that make it easily detachable. Caribou Cases

I like a topbox because of the carrying capacity, but without the extra width involved in panniers of saddlebags.

I have a small Jesse box, which isn't gross, like some of those givis, but has enough room for a full bag of groceries, and I can put my full-face helmet in it when I park.

A sportbike with ANY topbox on it will be ugly. That's a worst-case righ there!
