Sovereign Trail, Moab GPS tracks wanted
Wanted - GPS tracks for the Sovereign Trail Singletrack, Moab area.
I've been looking closely at the BLM's Draft Resource Management Plan Environmental Impact Study for the Moab area, and it appears that the Sovereign Trail Singletrack has been left off of all of the maps, including their initial inventory. Please, if you have these tracks, send them my way so that I can overlay them against the BLM's GIS database and confirm or deny this and get it into the EIS comments before Nov 30. Garmin or gpx formats preferred, but anything will do. Thanks, Will wsallender at yahoo dot com |

We ran that area a few years back.
I don't know if what I have is all of the single track or not. I will find it and post it.

The image below shows my hand-drawn rendition of the Sovereign Trail Singletrack in red. The teal lines are the lines from the BLM inventory.

Well, after further investigation, it appears that the Sovereign Trail is 100% on State lands. A good GPS track would confirm this. This would potentially explain why the BLM ignored it on their maps.
