Every single time I see one of these "bad ass" pirates with tassels on their handle bars

I can't help but have this image in my head

Gee. No gloves would be even better. How well do they crash? Dress for the wreck, not for the ride.

Heatshields over the pipe wrap? I figured he wasn't that lame.

Tell me again what the technical reason for pipewrap is?

In any case, that bike looks like ass.

BOTH these cruiser badass pipe guys FAIL.

Where are their whips??

Mr neat-and-clean has some leather kids bike tassels so he might get 1/2 credit.

But no evil biker guy whips? How they gonna' teach those bad drivers to listen for loud pipes if they can't lay a beating on them with some whip action?

I like the handle bar mounted to the downtubes. I'm guessing to be used as Highway pegs.

The purpose of the pipewrap is to keep the heat (energy) in the exhaust, this keeps the velocity up and allows better scavenging and improved volumetric efficiency.
But it's still slow, still looks like ass, and I'd still rather drive my truck.

So you're saying he put that thing on a dyno and tuned the carb after chopping off the stock exhaust?

In his case the reason for pipe wrap is cause he likes how is looks, or he's covering up a shitty workmanship.
