Wrong title
Hey guys,,
reat the "whats-new" arctile today. You'll need a new thread-title. Bike won't be called 1250 ![]() Also read why there are so few pictures of the bike on the street. Guess what.... Testriders may take the bikes home, for a ride. But they are only allowed to ride the bike while deep night! ![]() ride on Matti |

Here ya go, from the horses mouth: > " Extra time has been announced for the summer! The two major international trade fair highlights INTERMOT and EICMA will first keep autumn and winter waiting. This year too, BMW Motorrad will again be giving all motorcycle fans some great treats. The launch will be made at INTERMOT in Cologne: On 3–7 October BMW Motorrad will be celebrating the world premiere of the new R 1200 GS. Together with Husqvarna Motorcycles, BMW Motorrad will be presenting additional highlights from the sports, enduro, touring, and urban adventure world for a powerful impression at their new trade fair stand."

.Don't have a link to the article. Was in the Intranet - 64 pages of stuff they put in the bike. Most you'll already know, drive-by-wire, cruise control and stuff like that. Weight will definetly be the same as with the current 1200GS

I already see one thing I don't like about the new watercooled R1200GS.
The fixed the problem with the smaller bag on the left to make the right bag smaller.... ![]() Why no underseat exhaust for 2 full-size bags? No more rear main seal leaks but with the possibility of leaking waterpumps... The only really interesting questions remaining ! -how much hp ? (my guess 130+ since new KTM and MS have close to 150) -where is the clutch ? (looks like in front of the engine a la CX 500) -is it reliable from day one ? In 2 weeks we know the answers (at least the first 2) and be bored again until the new electric boxers come in 2032... ![]() Exciting times for BMW lovers for sure...

Because the wheel at full travel will occupy the same space as the pipes, yes you can do it A la 950 but does are more side pipes than under seat pipes..

Until further notice I'm still calling it the "Bubble Boxer"
![]() I would hope it puts out 130 horses at a minimum, as the only point to messing with a good thing would be to keep up with the brits, and italians. as for the h2o pump, well I hope they use a different one then they are using in the K bikes. Those a failing right and left. I'm gonna take my chances with the old faithful air cooled GSA until the Bubble Boxer proves its worth, as I'll take reliability over speed any day. |
