'12-13 Snowmobiling season!
Haydays last weekend (Official kickoff for winter snowmobiling), and a new sled in the garage. Reports coming in of snow on the peaks of the mountains. Leaves are changing colors.
Hopefully this year will be better than last year.

Drove from CO to MN for Haydays. Lots of this...
 Minnesota sunrise/fog as the sun rose (We drove straight through the night)  this place is -huuuge-  One of three swap meet fields   Got there and unloaded our junk  Did I mention *huge*....  Wind kicked up a bit saturday afternoon.  Didn't sell as much as I wanted to, but did get rid of some of some 900 parts. About 1400 I slapped a "Free!" sticker on the bulkhead, and an hour later someone took it home.  I think I got a better deal than they did.

And a new smowmobile for me
 '12 Pro-RMK 800, 155". A *LOT* lighter than the 900. Shouldn't have to pull this one apart every year to replace motor mounts and bulkhead braces.  Out of the crate...  ...and into the trailer.  Home!  It'll never be this clean and shiny again.   Let the modding begin.

When I rode from Kansas City to Halifax back in '04, it was interesting to note the change in toys in the yards along the way. Down here it's boats. Going through IL, IN, and OH, it transitioned to ATVs. Once I got up to NY, MA, and NH, it was snowmobiles.

Apparently we had snow up in the hills here last week.
 Wish I could afford to run my FREE sleds this year, aint going to happen. I will live vicariously through y'all so y'all better be posting some good pics!

I can't beleive that as much as I LOVE motorcycles, that I have NEVER been moved to buy a snowmobile. I have never even wanted to ride one but once when a buddy asked me to ride his I did. It was fun but didn't make me want to buy one. I guess if it was as trick and as fast as some I would have been moved to buy one. It was a stock Ski Doo and had to be twenty years ago.

Might be time to give it another try.
Sleds today are -nothing- like they were 20 years ago. Or even 10 years ago.
