Unless you have raised the compression or advanced the timing you will get no benifit from high octane. 87 and 92 have the same energy content. 92 burns slower to retard knock in higher compression engines.

My WRr gets 52 to 56 mpg combined (interstate at 70 mph plus some city) the CRF is reported to do even better, both burn cleaner too

That is my MPG... just trolling for fun. hope you get it all worked out....
In Wisconsin, the family fleet MPG AVG combined figures for each

Hyundai Veracruz (family truckster) = 20
VW Jetta TDI = 45
Yamaha WR250r = 53

overall (simplified/CAFE) avg = 39.3mpg

The VW is BY FAR THE MOST impressive, due to GVW, passengers etc... Damn thing will do 52 mpg on a HWY trip at 75mph. that is truly awesome.

I am not a hyper-mpg guy by the way.
