I guess I was the only person who understood that he snagged his right leg on the tank bag while dismounting and that pulled the bike over on top of him as he fell to the pavement, crushing his knee?
Good luck with that. I bet it would have made for funny video, though.

Phone while still on the bike? Jeesus people do we really need these things at our heads all day?
Anyhow, glad it wasn't worse, other people on phones are piloting 4T urban assault vehicles while doing their make-up last thing we need is to be distracted by the same shit.

I'm sticking with him massing maybe 40 gm and the added mass of the cell phone due to it ringing, over weighted him on the right side. His left knee was on fire due to a passing fire truck. The ringing of the phone was so loud that it disturbed the atmosphere sufficiently to 'blow out' (his words) the fire on his knee saving him.

I might rethink the bike you are riding if you cant dismount without a trip to the hospital, phone or not.
So many riders seem to get hung up riding big or huge heavy bikes that fall over/they drop/crash. I am a serious clutz, just ask my wife, but I have not dropped a bike on the street in 35+ years. When I had a big heavy bike, I almost dropped it with the wife on the back when my foot slipped on some sand, and I realized that such a heavy bike was a pain in the butt and got rid of it. |

I guess the reason for the OP's rant is that he can't sit on his bike and use a cell phone.

I was expecting min to say he was sideswiped by a car or something. Sometimes the stupidest and simplest moves can cause you severe damage. Screwed up my back once by turning my shoulders to grab a piece of paper from behind me, took weeks to get it back to liveable.

I have a question for the OP. Were you riding the bike in your avatar? Looks like a Trail 90. Very heavy bike, no wonder you were screaming.
