Talked to Doug in Gillette, Wy about 4 hours ago. Had not done the necessary grinding to get the front jug to go down. The Indian is still in the trailer. Plans on fixing it in Sheridan this evening. Seemed in good spirits and having fun.

Here I am watching Doug go down the highway, only to find out he wasn't on the Indian.
 I'll keep cheering him on to get it fixed and finish the ride.Best of Luck til the end in SF.

 and it actually runs really good. now I am just wondering for how long....... hahaha tomorrow is a 4k foot climb up the big horns. luckily, they have given us a pass if we want, we can haul the bikes to the top. Wont get points for the miles missed, but no penalties either with a new fresh topend, I didnt figure that would be a good way to break it in, so I will catch a ride to the top. Then, hopefully the bike will do good, as we pass thru yellowstone. Im really looking forward to that Doug

Obviously a smart move missing this first climb,its a big enough pain to run a motor in on a trip,big mistake done once by me but to try that on a big mountain climb would be pushing your luck,BTW love this thread.
