Dr Pulley Sliders vs OEM Rollers
I've read and heard a lot of good things about Dr Pulley sliders. The video below has been posted before and the concepts depicted are easy to grasp. Problem is, I'm not certain the variator acts exactly as described in the video. At least on my Honda Big Ruckus, there does not seem to be a super low ratio the rollers can't reach and there is no super high ratio the rollers can't reach either. Rather than the squared profile where the Dr Pulley slider bottoms out so nicely, the Honda Variator is radiused in a more rounded fashion. I didn't cut the Variator in half to confirm this but it appears without some machine work on the Variator, what is depicted does not seem correct. At the high end of travel it appears the Dr Pulley is superior as there is more contact area and the angle is correct, yet time and time again I read how people say the OEM rollers lasted longer. Not knocking the Dr Pulley sliders at all, just wondering if the video isn't misleading?

I'm sold on the Dr Pulley thing and think all scooters should come with
It did wonders on my 300cc scooter (0-60mph dropped from 11 to 9 seconds,
and I got 500 revs less @ cruising speeds above 60mph).
I recently got the malossi multivar, and got the dr pulley sliders for that too.
Now the bike will power slide around town, with 29hp.
Getting a set of the sliders is cheap so you don't loose much if you don't
like them. Just make sure you start at around 10% lighter then stock if
you're after better acceleration AND lower cruising revs.
