Well here is mine
![]() ![]() Alright guys what should I demand to be replaced? A lady was running about 30 and hit the tire and right box with her car driving it up and forward throwing me off . I made the boxes ane rack myself . The rack will have to be remade the box ca be fixxed , I am concerned with the tank. The rack was bolted at both bottom bolts and the rear tank bolt . I am worried about the well nuts in the top of the tank. I know that the picture is not that good but is there anything else I should be concerned with due to the jarring from the impact?

Same. Plus I'd be looking at possible wheel damage, stress loading on the tank mounts & suspension damage. If something has been bent or stressed even slighty it may not be apparant for a while. For that reason I would be insisting her insurance forks out for a new rear end. I Don't think that is unreasonable in this situation given it is unlikely the insurance will wan't to know you if they have paid out for superficial repairs and you latter discover your tank or rear suspender has problems.

Finally after months of lurking these forums & saving enough money, I picked this up last weekend,Already ditched the standard muffler, air filter, number plate extension & upper tank bolts. These things are too much fun, I dont think the XR 400 it replaced will see much action any more.

I take it you have fitted the second or upper heatshield on the exhaust after these photos.

Just got my new 2012. Already have 150 miles on it so far.
The bike runs great right from the factory - very happy with the fuel injection, suspension, and brakes. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
