[QUOTE=PoundSand;19585019]Numbers do not mean as much as clutch, did you see Tuesday's game. A walk-off hit won it. He is still great against the Yanks when needs to be.

(81-62) Hughes and the bullpen shutout the Sox at Fenway to keep pace with the Orioles. A miserable RISP 2 for 34 in the last three games. A three game set with the Rays starts tonight. Sabathia vs. Price.

(81-63) Still tied with the Orioles due to their loss in Oakland. Tampa is three games behind. This was an opportunity with the Ace on the hill, but we just could not get it done. RISP was 1 for 6 and the long ball only supplied three of the scores. Nova is on the hill today.

(82-63) Nova gets a win his first game back. A couple of long balls, Jeter & A-Rod with RBI's, and Soriano with the save. Let's see what Baltimore does tonight.

(83-63) Still one game up with tonight off. Kind of nice to see some small ball mixed with the long ball yesterday. Pettitte returns tomorrow. Let's see how far a 70 pitch maximum will take us.

(83-63) Rain spoiled the return of Andy Pettitte last night. Hence, a day/night double header today.

(85-63) Two wins yesterday puts the Bombers a half a game ahead. Pettitte gave 5 solid innings in his return and Ichiro comes through big time. Let's hope this roll continues with fourteen games to go. Hughes on the hill tonight.

(86-63) A big night offensively at the stadium results in a sweep of the Jays and a one game lead over Baltimore. Hughes goes to 16-12 for the season. Swisher comes through for tenth team Grand Slam this season. Oakland is in town for the weekend.

(87-63) It was a pitchers duel last night with a one run lead going into the ninth. Oakland tied it up with a homerun, but Martin responded in the tenth with walk off long ball for another win. C.C. did a great job(3 hits 2 walks,11 K's over 8 shutout innings), but was denied a victory. Nova on the hill next.

(88-63) A 14 inning game and it came down to an E3 to score Ichiro with two outs. Both teams sent 9 pitchers to the hill.
