I'm with you on that. Sort of takes away a lot of excuses doesn't it.

Looks like they are headed down 254, staying off the highway as long as possible.

Got there a little late for the little bikes, and couldn't find Doug, but damn, what a show! I'll bet Doug had the good sense to sleep in.
Pics and vids to come. Edit: Here are pix and a wee vid: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And a short vid--the only glimpse I got of a BMW: http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/k...psa8c2f2c5.mp4 I have another vid of a large group leaving, but it's a gigantic file.

Of course Doug pitched in and helped a unlucky Darryl Richman, that lost grip in a curve and tumbled down a gorge about 20' down with his BMW. Darryl wasn't hurt much and the bike was retrived after some work by helpers and a truck.

Darryl was pretty lucky. he went into the curve, and these BMW floorboards are rigid. the board scraped, picked up the rear wheel, & he & the bike went straight off the road. Had it not hung up on this tree about 20' down, it could have gone another 100' or so. The hillside was really loose shale/sand, it was hard to get it back up. He hurt his foot, and the bike had only a few scrapes & the handlebars are bent.

Glad he's ok!
I bet that leaves a pretty big knot in your throat to know you just chucked a vintage bike down a hillside though. Glad to hear it's just minor damage.
