Put a Baja kit on it and register it in Nevada.
That is my plan!

They ain't fast but , they're fun as all get out !
Conner and Lonestar 2112 , just to give you a head's up on these little bikes, I tell you a short story of what happened to my son and I last weekend. Na , forget it . Get one and you'll learn for yourself why these thing's have a cult like following and what makes them so much fun . I'll clue you in on a littel bit . Took it to the track for the first time two week's ago , and was approached by two different guy's within 45min.of each other offering to buy it from me. Naturally I had to tell them it wasn't for sale . Last week end ,my son and I took both our BW-200's out to the track and were passed by a guy on a KTM-450 , who hit the berm and circled around and came back to tell us " Can't beleive it, a BW , you never see a BW anymore, let alone two of them in the same day . Thank's guy's for bringing them out." That was on the first track that we road that day . The fun we had was well worth the hassle of haveing just one kick starter lever between the two of us that day , my son broke his as soon as we got unloaded that morning . So get your's and go out and start your own fun filled stories to share with other's on here looking to pull the trigger on getting one of these time traveler machines.

LDL,
My wife is balance challenged. She is one of those individuals that rode horses long before she rode a bike. She was almost 20 before she rode. I am looking at using this as an intro bike for her and of course it will be a kick in the butt for me to ride.Maybe this will be the one dirt bike that I own that I don't loop . email addy.....xrlooper ![]()

Excellent thread folks! I recently purchased a 2008 TW200 thats been modified to fit a 2003 yz250f engine. The build pics for my bike are here http://s1125.photobucket.com/albums/l588/tyzardoz/ . Good to see "fat tire bikes" having such a good following!

Technical question
While removing the clutch side engine cover I notice an extra hole with a seal for a shaft that comes out behind and below the kickstart shaft. About 1/4" in diameter, threaded end. I don't have a clue what it is! Any ideas???

decompression assembly?
I had an xt600 or xl600 that had one. tw200 has a blank hole there, too. |

Hey Mr Bigwheel,
If we got all the bw enthusiast to ask nicely, do you think Christini would make an AWD kit available? 2trally screwed with this post 09-20-2012 at 06:12 PM |

it has a lever that pulls the compression release cable when you kick the bike over. is your motor missing the lever and cable assembly? if so, I might be persuaded to pull them off my dead motor and send them to you. -Owen |

Now I understand, I thought why would a 200cc four stroke have a compression release, second time I kicked it, the kick start output shaft broke

sanjoh , my kick starter was broken off when I bought my BW-200 . I had never torn into a single cyl. 4-stroke befor at all . So I got on the internet and orderd everything I needed , some off of Ebay and some stuff off of www.Babbitsonline.com . The best thing I got was the service manual , it sure helped out . There's alot of stuff out there for these little dudes , you just have to look and keep your eye's open and be ready to jump on it befor it's gone. The motor used on the TW-200 is the same , or they use alot of the same part's anyway. The kick starter was a pretty easy job really. Don;t forget your gasket kit also !
