One of these will be in Sydney soon for the start of our bush fire season. Our Rural Fire Service is gearing up for a big one due to lack of hazard reduction burning and lots of ground fuel accumulating. Several years ago I was on the ground, very close to where it was fire bombing. Awesome and terrifying at the same time. Houses and lives were saved. Many people, to this day want to be able to show personal gratitude to the crews.

A friend of mine, Hugh, was visiting in Melbourne, Australia a few years ago during a very dry summer. There were a lot of bushfires that year and Elvis had been drafted in to help the desparate battle.
Hugh was sitting at a swiming pool cooling off and Elvis hove into view, hovered over the pool, dropped its suction hose and hoovered the water from the pool before flying off. Hugh was just dumbfounded but admitted it was one of the most incredible things he had ever seen. |

Don't think it's a threadjack but our ship is down with a weird electrical problem. We're pulling our hair and wallets out with zero resolution.
Any high time veteran Hughes or MD500 wrenches on here shoot me a PM. So far we've had about six guys both A&P's and straight electronics techs look at it and then troubleshoot by parts replacement which isn't the best approach. |
