Enter the Lynx kit (Brittania Composites) As soon as I found it online, knew it was exactly what I was missing, great combo of lights and windscreen. Going riding tonight and no doubt will be as pleased as every other person whose reviewed these things. Ride on!

Looks f'n sweet too, really does transform the bike into something...different, better. Really dig the look.

That's it! I'm stoked, have fun, ride safe y'all!!

We don't believe you unless you prove it with pics!

Seriously though, how's the beam coverage and buffeting?

As a Lynx owner, I'll step in and say that you'll never mistake the wind protection for a Gold Wing, but it's pretty good and adjustable - there is definitely a sweet spot for highway speeds and your height, and it is sensitive to +/- 1/2" but you'll know when you get it right. It doesn't drum or rumble.

The light -- I'm ASSuming that everyone will get the HID low beam and Halogen high beam - is excellent. It's a PITA to adjust, however, because you have to take the whole fairing off to access the adjuster screws, unfortunately. It takes a bit of patience to get the lights pointed in the right place -- both lights are independent, so you have to do it twice. I found that disconnecting the low beam made adjusting the high beam a lot easier.

Not very good at this. Until Apple killed MobilMe I could cut and paste photo album links. I now have a flickr account and have published several albums there but do not know how to get individual pictures here. Any help would be greatly appreciated like step by step instructions, if possible. Could do this by PM to me so as to not to disturb others with procedures they already know.

Primitive though it is here is the photo link for a flickr album of photos at Nelson Hills NV with some close up shots of the Remus system and the newly installed GiantLoop Mojavi bag. Bike was very clean and had just gotten new MT 21's. Proceeded to get it properly dirty again in Nelson and at the Eldorado Dry Lake Bed. Here is the link.

More Pics Of Remus Headpipe & Titan Slip-on, etc.

Additional photos of my 690 and Remus Exhaust, predominantly at Jean Dry Lake Bed and surrounding mountains. Several photos of two Hummers (one new and experimental and one an existing model in production). Driven by two ladies. What a job! You see the damndest things at dry lake beds.

To change the subject slightly, have a look at my tire clean. Almost the entire tread contacting the dirt with me aboard. Tire pressure was 16 psi, however I could have gone down another 2 pounds and i would have had the entire tread making contact.

Remus is really good quality. I have left the insert in and the sound is not objectionable, but makes some really throaty sounds when ridden in anger.

Thanks again Night Falcon for doing this. I look forward to seeing your PM as to how it was accomplished.

Cheers,

Tom

Hi Bob,

Still learning. I remember when you use to get a dialog box upon opening the site, already logged in, that told you about a PM. With the new software it seems that this has changed. In any event I saw where to check my PM's and replied there just a few minutes ago. I have been riddled with guilt for a long time for not knowing how to post individual pics. I am hoping that I am not the only one who has struggled with this. I will experiment a bit later today to make sure I got it. In your point # 8 above I am glad you said "Uncle" rather than "Daddy". If you were my "Daddy" you would be at least 88 years old!

Cheers, and thanks again.

Hey folks, been finding out some interesting things about the 690 sensors. The EFi sensors appear to be a mix and match of off the shelf stuuf, used by the japanese car manufacturers. Working on cross referencing the part numbers and with luck, we won't have to get porked by the dealer anymore

I'll let you know what I find out....
