Also In our group was ADKbeemer(Greg) who I had the pleasure of riding with a couple of years ago at Cromag, on his beautiful Super Tenere. On his trusty KLR was BeemerJim(Jim) smilin all the way. Last but definitely not least was Merlin III (Phil) on his expertly ridden pristine R1150 GS.
All of these guys are a class act and I would ride with them anywhere. We had spectacular scenery, interaction with the locals(vt people are always colorful), good food, challenging terrain and great company. I even got a bit muddy.

Hats off to Beez, Gail and the rest for high entertainment Friday night - laughed my ass off! What was the clear liquid again?

To Kurt, Mike, Larry, David, Terry,

Thank you for coming on the ride with me. I loved taking you all through some of my private stock of great roads! The thing is, there are so many more to share, too!

Oh, I don't know if I mentioned this, but a good share of the roads we went on are the same roads that I would go out at 2 in the morning and practice on with the rally car. You know those tight twisty dirt roads we were on (including Lincoln Gap), yep, would terrorize the woods in the middle of the night on them.









If anyone is ever coming up this way, always feel free to get in touch. At any time I'm ready to go out on a ride and show people around, or if you want, I can help create a route for you. Then again, mapping out a route is an easy thing to do. It's hard to find a bad road in Vermont.

ADKBeemer and everyone I got a chance to talk with, what a great time, awesome conversations, and amazing stories. And I'm sorry that there were so many people that I didn't get a chance to talk to. Well there's always next year.

Clark, so much can be said, but the most powerful words are thank you for taking care of us all!

I couldn't help but chuckle everytime I saw the little silver camera attached to your silver helmet.

It reminded me of "mini me" - or an obscure reference to a Family Guy episode: "helmet guy needs some love".

damn I missed this...new member and all....

grew up coming up to Silver Lake State Park in the 80's camping w the family from LI NY...

fond memories of ice cream at the old General Store in Barnard down the street as a child, and swimming in the lake before the stupid sand was added...

got some great old pics...

maybe next year...havent been there since early 2000...im sure the area around there is fantastic...thanks for the pics in the thread...

Yes I did miss it. I couldn't even tell you what road we were on most of the time, even with a GPS!
