Not affiliated in any way ... interested to hear what the thoughts are about it though ... but ...
Whoa. I guess there are a couple in the states ... but this is a 1998 (?) BMW Kalahari R80GS. In Oregon, USA. Staring at $11,000 ![]() http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-...#ht_500wt_1182

Definitely a rare bird, especially in the states. I bet he'll find a buyer for it despite the price. It's a cool bike.

He already did, there is an opening bid and no reserve. Unless the buyer backs out it's sold. For $11,000.00

Dual sparked with a decomp slot...but filled with a 3rd spark? I wouldn't think that's too uncommon?
I know a lot of bultacos were dual sparked and a lot of people drilled/tapped the heads for a decomp piston.

yep, there were some dual plugged heads, but i would think throwing another hole in there for a decomp makes that combustion chamber pretty messy and weak.
