Mr BMW needs some shooting lessons.

I wonder if he could claim self defense if the first shot had "disabled" the truck driver? maybe the truck tried to run him over?

Once he chased down the truck and pulled him over the self defense thing went out the window.

Well I was going to quote the Butthole Surfers and say "...it should have been a better shot and got him in the head" but apparently he DID get him in the head. I'd like to know the whole story behind this though. I know it's easy to sit here and say the guy should have just chilled out, but I also know I have gotten very pissed off while on my bike in the past. Never anything close enough to want to take a shot at someone, but still.......Although I get pissed at people in my car too, oh well, it's all moot anyway. It sucks that two people's lives are forever changed because of the situation though.

63 yo ex-football lineman on a GS chases down a 41 yo in a pickup, and in the course of pistol-whipping the guy, has the gun go off and graze the guy's head. WTF?? Too many fails to count.

The GS isn't going to auction - his attorney will get it as part of his (hopeless) defense fee.

Hope the rider gets everything the law can throw at him.

This is the sort of thing that judges don't have tolerance for, and I expect that
the rider is going to serve some time.

But we do not know all the circumstances, and the truck driver may also
deserve punishment. If he attempted to use his truck as a weapon, he should
certainly also be punished.

The court will probably have enough info to be able to make a judgement which
will take into account all the factors involved. We cannot do that in this thread,
because there is not enough info available to us.

Would imagine no matter what the truck driver did the mc rider will likely get charged with attempted murder. Makes it really hard to argue for concealed carry. Idiot screwed it up for everyone. Idiot on the motorcycle was just lucky the guy in the truck didnt run his a$$ over in self defense, that is what I would have done. Or pulled out his own gun and shot him.

I hope the moron get the book thrown at him, just like if anyone else would have pulled a gun. Thank goodness the idiot will likely never be able to legally own a gun again.
