Has anyone confirmed what the warranty is on these?
I asked my local husky dealer (6-7 hours away) and they did not know ![]() They said they would get back to me.....that was 3 days ago. They do have one on the floor though if I wanted to buy it. |

One of the main reasons BMW bought Husky was to offer bikes w/o their three year warranty. They learned very quickly with the G450/650x bikes that a three year warranty on a dirt bike made them unprofitable. I spoke to the warranty manger for BMW NA at length about their warranties and he stated that as much as 20% of the price of a new BMW was the three year warranty.

Thanks Toad,
I found that basic info as well, but it is for 2012 models, calls them out as Enduro and Supermoto and specifically reference the 630's. All non-modified 600cc+ displacement Enduro and Supermoto models come with a one-year/unlimited mileage warranty against manufacturing defects and workmanship that covers parts and labor. This includes both the TE630 and SMS630 models. While this may still hold true for the 2013 TR650's, I would like to know for sure what it really is. 24 months would be nice. |

Actually this bike and the Sertao really do compare closely with each other.
For the extra $1650 the Sertao gives you ABS, a wind screen, more travel, but skinner conventional forks and a 3 year warranty vs 1 year (maybe). ABS is a $600+/- option, the wind screen is worth maybe $200 and 2 years warranty is worth +/-$800, about $1600 total *Edit....I forgot the Sertao also has hand guards and a bash plate so maybe $200 more on its side. Is there no concern about legs rubbing the paint off on that body work? I would want to put a knee pad on the side or something.

Those panels are plastic with graphics molded in. If there was a concern, they make clear acrylic for cars that can be cut to shape so scuffing doesn't occur on plastic panels.

I'm another that's glad to see this bike as I said when word first came out.
Not a true dirt dual sport but good for ADV travel and good competition for the KLR in many ways. Hopefully it will even wake up the others (Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha ) to redo their long overdue 650 bikes (and maybe one of them to bring it over to this side of the pond!).I'm looking forward to seeing them here but first Husky Canada needs to get going and be sorted by BMW. If this leads to another bike from Husky (I'd gladly pay another $1000.00) for a more sorted dirt version with adjustable suspension etc...even better too! ![]() P.S. There's some great 3M tape (and the dirt bike protector tape) that's perfect for protecting the side panels> good for use with Giant Loop bags and keeping your bike looking new(er) too. Dave

The engine is basically the same as the BMW g650gs, just tuned a little different to give it a few more ponies. My 2009 G650gs has a 6000 mile range on oil change and valve checks; however, I always change my oil every 1000-1500 miles for peace of mind. Someone who has seen one will have to chime in if they have an oil reserve tank.

I stopped by Hermys' BMW/Triumph/Husqvarna in Port Clinton, PA, tonight to get some parts and checked out the TR650 Terra. I'm in love!!!! I'm going to take one for a ride when I get some time off from work one of these days.
