Umm.. Well, I'll give you a better number after Friday (first day of "proper" riding). But, so far for city commuting... 20 mpg.

Wiseblood, get your carbs synced. And check your air filter. That is way low. I am not someone that gets into the 40's. I have ranged from mid 20's (riding like a complete idiot in the city) to mid 30's (mixed city/highway commuting), but 20, even in the city might indicate something is amiss with your fueling setup. Or maybe you ride like a stinkin' lunatic and are doing burnouts at every light?

Out of curiousity, what would symptoms of carbs not in sync be?

-- I do ride a bit like an idiot. -- All my miles have been in the city -- I'm insanely huge: 6' 11" tall, about 300 lbs! Friday ill be doing some proper highway miles, and I'll let you know how it goes!

This man knows what he speaks of. I have his old bike and I'm about 220 and the 15t is unreal.

I also had an exhaust leak so I'm not sure which of those conditions was causing the really poor fuel economy.
