I'll just add this, not really hack related, but more to the above post. The Brit bikes are all over the MiddleEast (I wonder why?) buried where you wouldn't believe. I would have liked to have found these guys http://www.colston.org/cairobikes.html, but never had the time and I got over my BSA thing. I don't know if cruising around Cairo right now is quite the best thing to be doing for a Westerner at the moment.
Talk about the original adventure bikes! Grab what you can and go see the world! Ps. I was joking around with that "I wonder why" remark. General Allenby left a lasting impression, didn't he. The British Empire extended far and wide, more than I think most people realise, but that is a discussion for another forum...

This old (1967?) Austin Healey 3000 MK III has been sitting in the lot where my Dad lives for quite a while. Looks to have been driven straight from the "barn".
My 96+ year old Dad is still kick'in my ass at cribbage. Nice Fall day in MT. .....supposed to have a chance of snow on wed. night. bmwhacker screwed with this post 09-30-2012 at 07:10 PM |

Bob D's new CSM American Classsic
The body under construction. This body has a larger tail than many of the American Classic bodies we have done and an opening trunk
for more storage. ![]() ![]() About ready for the initial run ![]() ![]() Some details. Note that the under cowl glove box has become a very popular addition. Quite handy and lockable. Windshield is easily removed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Heading home

My little leaning sidecar project-
The "HacKayak" ![]() ![]() ![]() Does great on and off-road so far. Still have to finish the floor, add some more bracing and possibly add another pivot point. I may cut part of the nose off also, as I won't have people in it. Only my dog and gear. I'm going to add a fog light as well. I ran out of shield gas last night just after I added in the last absolutely necessary gusset. Good timing.

That is really cool.
![]() It looks like it does not come off for waterborne sorts of miscreant behavior? I was talking to a kayaking buddy of mine about doing something similar, but with a removable tub that is still river-worthy. :3 |

Ahh, yes. Unfortunately mine does not do that. However, I thought about possibly building a platform with a curved frame that you could easily strap a kayak into. As for this design, I'll be coming up with a means of strapping my functional kayak and mountainbike to it. :)
