I welded in a bung on the handlebar end for a bar-end mirror. It was very difficult to remove the powdercoat from the inside of the bars before welding.

I fabbed up a bracket to hold some of the electronics and then drilled a bunch of holes in it.

And then I drilled some more holes in some more parts.

More holes

Finally I'm painting something

And finally, a completely finished part:

I painted the pipes so they wouldn't rust and fabbed up a slip fitting.

I bought the bike in the spring of last year (2011), but i don't do much bike work during the summer so it basically sat until about November. I did most of the work last winter. It wasn't ready in time for spring so it got put on the back burner again for most of this summer. Then I picked it up again in about the middle of August and finished it not too long ago.

I wanted to show it off to some friends so I put everything together that I had finished and trailered it to a small event. Of course it rained and everything that isnt painted is now rusty. Its time to tear it all down and paint the frame anyway, so no big damage was done.
