Przygonski came first on this stage. I'm really happy about that, he has been up there in the top 10-15 for a number of years but seems to battle with consistency. He must be really happy with his performance so far.

Excellent 2nd place from Chavo today, just 51" behind Goncalves. He said his top speed was limited to 130kph in the sand and that Paulo ripped past him like he was in reverse. He needs more power, like HRC supported power. Chavo was very happy with his own speed during the rally and said he had no trouble keeping up with Ullevalsetter.
His goals for Dakar are now a top 20 finish and winner of the non-elite riders. I think he has a good chance.

![]() Pål Anders Ullevålseter unfortunately suffered a broken gearbox at Stage 5 and had to wait more than 10 hours in the desert before getting a lift to bivouac with a helicopter. The motorcycle was brought in by sweep truck, so he suffered a 7 hour penalty and ended up 25th overall. ![]() Team Ullevålseter now sends 2 factory engines back to KTM for a rebuild. He rents 3 factory engines for NOK 150 000,-, so they better work :))
