Need a custom rotor spacer made
I'm changing the entire front brake setup on my '78 SR500 and need a spacer made for the front rotor.
Does anyone know of a place or person that I could contact? I ned a circular spacer with 6 holes for the rotor bolts - about 4mm thick. Thanks. |

Found some spacers on the AF1 Racing site - waiting to hear back if diameter and holes will work.

Your local friendly machine shop could probably spin you off one.

I have a good friend that spins me stuff off all the time for a decent rate but he would need a good dimensioned drawing. If you want to supply me with one I could do that, being I am in Canada it may be cheaper for you to find someone local.

Thats an easy job for a water jet shop.
I made my own on a lathe but it would have been easier to send the drawing to my local waterjet guy and pick it up Based on the last job he did for me which was four rear set levers out of 1/2" aluminum that was his he charged me $100 total. So I'd guess for one spacer maybe $25-50?? If you want to send me dimensions I'll draw it up in cad and send it to him or anyone else that needs a drawing to cut with.

Thanks for all of the offers gentlemen, i may take you up on them in the future.
It dawned on me that I have a spare rotor, so I am going to chop the other rotor carrier down and use it as a spacer - the thinkness is just about perfect. |
