No offense but were those taken with a 1.3 megapixel camera underwater?
Edited to add: to break in new boots you have to wear them as often as possible until they are broken in. No easy, no non-wearing way around it. Wear them around the house, wear them riding, even wear them to work. No other way to break them in except to wear them.

I never walk around in my cross boots, unless I have to, they're for riding & armor.
Adjust the shifter & get riding. If the boots were all comfy, you'd get very little protection. Don't get me wrong here, my boots are stiff as they were designed to be. |

My Sidi crossfires were comfortable out of the box. But they have a pivot at the ankle which makes walking easier, They aren't hiking boots but I can at least walk around the pits or camp in them. As for breaking in boots, there's all sorts of ways to make them softer or more comfortable. If I have a pair of boots that hurt, I'll sit down in from the TV, watch a movie and just work those areas with my hands until they are a little softer. I've also used wood dowels, Spoons and pipes to give my boots more room. Oh and this is in the wrong sub forum.
