Checked out the TR today at Tri-County.
Looks like a well put together bike. Very BMWish, but with plenty of Husky thrown in. Two things grabbed me right away. The bike really needs a skidplate, and someone simply has to come out with an aftermarket rear brake lever. Other than that, the usual owner must haves will come in to play.

Please share one photos when you bring her home! Like to see someone post pics of the battery access, side stand down (for lean angle), and instrument display.

Pepe11,
If you don't mind saying? What did you pay for the new Terra? I've got a quote of $6500 so far. Thanks! SamM |

SamM,
$6.5K is good! I paid just above 8K all included. I knew if I wanted it right away I wouldn't get me much of a deal... |

I am heading out the door to the Husqvarna dealer meeting in the next few minutes. We will get to ride the TR650 and the whole lineup tomorrow afternoon!
I rode the new TR650 Terra for the first time yesterday and was VERY impressed. The bike is everything we hoped it would be. The motor is sweet. The suspension is sporty and offroad worthy. The dashboard/tachometer is killer. The price is spectacular. Only 500 bucks more than KLR650? No question which way I would personally go. I hope to have plenty of updates on accessories by the time I return on Tuesday. Cheers! Gail from Modesto |

I'd never own a Husky... I saw one catch fire on the internet. They must "all" do that!

Actually, if you back a lot further, you'll find they competed vey successfully at the IOM in the 20' & 30's. They were one of the top factory racing teams during that time.

I wanna test ride. This may be my next bike. Countryside BMW in Chicago is a great place. Mike Abt is a good guy to deal with.

Not only is the air filter MUCH easier to access on the TR, so is the battery! Pop the seat off and right there it is
![]() I think you have to take off the seat and then remove six fasteners to gain access on the BMW. |

That's how it was on my G650GS Sertao. Fortunately, I didn't need to do it often as there are also jumper points accessible simply by removing the seat.

Looks like Husqvarna sales are up for 2012. The TR650 should increase those numbers in 2013 I'm hoping.
