dancerdave - give Mark @ Moto Guzzi Classic a call on Tuesday - he can likely fix you up with everything you need. (562)986-0070. Headlights are especially scarce though - it seems everyone put Windjammers on their Guzzi back then and junked the headlight.

if you are not an originality fanatic, emgo makes some replacement headlight shells for not too much money. they have british variants that are a bit deep, but work, and I have also used some kawasaki replicas, that have the right depth, but need fender washers to bolt to the headlight ears.

The head light and ears are chrome and would like to find some like those to put back, the exhaust has lots of rust on bottom, both gear shift and rear brake arms are pitted just to give an idea what I am needing .. I could leave it like it is and worry about how long this thing will run before sinking loads of money in something that will die soon..it runs great for a bike that has set for so long but it took a couple of weeks to get it that way.. Not knowing about a Guzzi was mostly to blame tho..this throttle cable routing has been a bitch, I can't find a way not to put them in a bind but I have time and new cables will help.. Being a BMW rider I find I compair the two of them, but mostly riding dual sport bikes isn't fair and me being old the Guzzi will win because of the easy to get on and off...

I got a chance to ride this old bike today and headed for some gravel just to see how it did on some old roads close to my home, i was supprised how it handled on both gravel as well as twisty roads.. to me it felt best on an open road running at highway speeds.. it seemd tohttp://
want to go faster.. it has a little oil leak at the valve cover on the left side..

I am so new to moto guzzi and have lots to learn.. I need to learn first why it is so hard to start and where the oil is coming from. Hopefully restore thing to be my daily riders and can see I don't need to worry about a little gravel after looking at your bike..
