Most euro3 exhausts are relatively quiet, but they're also pricy, because they have cats in the mufflers too.

Stock exhaust is real quiet.

Can a Sportster haul beer and ice around like a Honda PC?
Why would I want to haul beer and ice? With a Harley I can always pull up to a bikerbar and grab my cold beer there and not have to worry about my scooter being f'd with outside.

If you're on a Honda PC nobody will fuck with it as it is well known PC owners have a few scews loose. If they didn't they wouldn't be on a PC.

That was a D&D Bobcat 2-1...yeah, it sounds like a cross between a Ducati and a Chevy V8. I probably have some sound clips of it...I'll post them when I get home from work.

Here is a sound clip of the D&D Bobcat on the 883. I don't have one with it installed on the 1200R, but the sound is roughly twice as ferocious with the added displacement.

Damn that sounds good...impossible to judge relative volume though, especially since it looks like the video was shot in a closed garage. Do any of these aftermarket exhausts have decibel ratings available?

I initially bought the exhaust on looks alone...was pleased with the performance and sound afterwards. Any exhaust system change is pretty much a leap of faith unless you have access to one on a running bike beforehand. Sound clips of exhaust are much like music...hard to judge on a pc.

Agreed, that's why I came here to the fount of all knowledge to see what everyone else has and what their experience has been. I know it's completely subjective but how would you characterize the volume of the D&D?

A mellow grumble when cruising with a sharp bark when you whack the throttle. Easy on the ears when riding, but has a raspy tone when you call on it.
