The part was to be in yesterday, but looks like today is the day and it should be done today, Had them hook the bike up to the computer and they found no falt codes, had to adj. only 2 valves, and are going to re-map it with the good European one. Told them if they had to tear the bike down to go head and do a canisterectomy, but they did not have to tear it down,Saves some labor, so Ill get the plugs and do it some day, I think Kip did one on his bike.

Asked the dealer about KTM doing away with the 990's because of the 1190's he said that he talked to KTM and was told there still going to make the 990's and that the 1190's are going to be like the BMW GS. 2 kinds one for road and one Off-road adventure, it going to be a Bad-ass.

Forrest, if you do some research you will read that KTM is using the motor from their crotch rocket in the 1190. They will sell a version with 21/18 wheels & a version with 19/17 wheels. That's what he was talking about. The new 1190 has 150hp.

Any of you passing through Evergreen tomorrow on the way to Barbers? Seems like I saw a mention of breakfast in Greenville. I might be able to slip away and join you.

I have ball game duty tomorrow night and won't make it to the track until Saturday morning.

FRANK,
Google Maps say if we leave Cantonment around 7am,,, we ought to be at the Cracker Barrel in Greenville around 8:45--9:00 friday morning.
I figure we'll be earlier than that.....
Come get a bite with us

TET Day 4 = no 4th Gear!

Barney and I awoke to a frost warning in Franklin this morning and decided to hit the road/trail at 9. Everything was awesome until we made it down to Wolf Pen Gap when my bike lost 4th gear!

We decided to try continuing on since I could still use 1st through 3rd as well as 5th and 6th. When we got to Ellijay I bought some oil so I could do another change ( just changed it in Blairsville yesterday).

When I was draining the tranny I could see a chunk of metal in bottom end...shit!

Crazy!

We still managed to ride 200 miles today. Tonight were in Reseca and will be back at my truck in Cheaha tomorrow.

All in all, we've had an awesome trip with some of the finest off road riding anywhere!
