I believe New Zealand bought Australias Skyhawks and then we leased them back a short time later. Sometime after that, someone realised that we, (Australia), didn't have an aircraft carrier anymore, so "The Fleet Air Arm" was a bit of a joke, so they were eventually retired.

The the aging Mirages were put out to pasture, just as the first Hornets arrived, fitted "for", but not "with" all sorts of advanced...stuff...

I noticed the same. If it isn't, its leading me to think we may not be able to trust digital photography when used as evidence of anything that is in higher-speed motion. But it has to be a video capture... I've haven't seen a digital camera do this before.

Its an effect of the rolling shutter used in some devices.

Made me look twice, when I saw the finished pic, too.
