Since you have experience with both how do they compare ?

hey bicycling shorts for me too. I actually like the seat, I've got narrow hips I guess because the old GSX1100 is uncomfortably wide for me, a big comfy couch for most. The CRF in comparison is nice and comfy, the corners start wearing into my arse after an hour or two.

We got the first rain we've had in months and the roads are treacherous in a car, let alone a bike, so I spent time in the garage installing handguards.

Anyone know if Giant Loop's Fandango or Diablo tank bags will fit well on the bike?

Forgot to ask, which cover did you go with? Not sure on the gripper material.

Carbon/Gripper.

For me the best thing about the CRF is the seat height, it's just more manageable for me. They may weigh the same roughly, but the CRF feels much lighter. And the CRF seat is much better.

Ricochet Skid Plate

My updated skid plate was waiting for me when I got off a trip yesterday. I installed it today, and I can say it's an unqualified success. I can get to the oil filter cover and there is good clearance on the left side of the engine case. I'll put up some pictures tomorrow.

Great customer service by Ricochet.

I never doubted for a moment. Ricochet Offroad Armor makes excellent skid plates, and provides superb customer service.

Manracks

Anybody have one yet? I think I might give it a try and was hoping someone had an opinion. The price is right.

Thanks.

What did your dealer charge for the valve clearance check?

Ricochet Armor Skid Plate Photos

Here are the photos of the updated skid plate.

Better clearance on the left side.

Oil filter cover is accessible now.

For the welding critics, the welds appear to be much nicer. They must have heard you.

I decided to tart my bike up a little with the Ricochet zap.

I added Cycra handguards last night too. They didn't give me too much trouble. I did have to reposition the levers a bit.
