I think a semi pro league i.e. a minor league, is a good idea, but they need to keep the damn colleges out of it. Of course that will never happen. so the broken system will remain a broken system.

Would also cut down on much of the disipline issues at the NCAA level- Give athletes another avenue that have no interest in being students

OU is putting a real beatdown on Texas. Maybe Mack Brown (and staff)should be shown the door. This is embarrassing.

I love Saturdays....
60-degrees out this morning, a quick 40-mile bike ride with the local club and some great games on-tap. What's not to love about Saturdays???

Sounds very much like my day so far. The wife, myself, and a visiting friend from GA took a ride this morning on the BRP and it's just now hit 61 deg here along the Blue Ridge. Made it back just in time to hunker down and watch WVU take on TT. Gonna throw two chickens on the smoker after the game. Damn...Saturdays are great this time of year!

anyone wanting to see what SEC defenses do against speed & spread can watch the bama mizz game. in the first quarter there was a reverse, a double reverse a 1 back speed sweep option and a screen pass. all defended by the book. no over pursuit, all blown up from the get go.
man auburn's looking bad now a days... they do good on both sides of the ball for a quarter and a half & then the starters were out of gas. :\ poooooor auburn. |

Holy choke fest. WV looked like all kinds of ass against TT. Geno may have just tossed his Heisman trophy down the toilet!

Boise State vs Fresno
Warm 70 degree day here in Boise. More like summer than fall. Our fist light rain since May last eve - woods are still like toast.
Stopped cutting and wrapping venison long enough to watch the game - our defense was strong. Atkinson and the D line have been a nice surprise. QB Southwick is a work in progress - he sure gets a lot of crap for being 5-1. Expected more from Fresno QB Carr - he looked flustered. Nevada pulled it together vs UNLV - bummer. The Dec 1 game will be the conference championship. Oh yeah - daughter Snow's doe was way bigger than my buck. Almost too hot to hunt. Global warming?
