Bandit rocks!

I just got back from a ride from Georgia to Key West and I'm here to say, the Bandito performed flawlessly! It was a pure joy to ride this bike over 1450 miles! If mine ever got wrecked or stolen, I would look for another to buy.

Why, oh why, did Suzi quit selling this bike over here!

They didn't.

They put a bigger fairing on it, offered ABS, and called it the GSX1250FA.

And why can't they offer that sweet bike in more colors than black!?

Because only a wanker would desire another color?

According to the Suzuki website, the last model was a 2011. I figured after they sold the last of the 11s that would be it.

I put a search in cycletrader. They aren't anywhere close to being sold out yet.

Suzuki has been known to skip model years if a model doesn't sell, perhaps they'll offer it for 2013. I saw on Visordown that they are offering it in the UK with bags and a gps, cheap, so they're still making them.

I bought a heavily discounted '11 in July. Like Grainbelt said, there are plenty more out there.

Bandit owners question

Hey all.

The Suzuki Bandit has alot of things I like including the price. I know the Bandit is no Dual Sporter but say if I saw a dirt road that looks intersting and wanted to go up and have a look would the Suzuki Bandit be capable of such a detour? I currently have a 650 V-strom and its getting costly to run and service. (great bike but... wouldnt buy another) Or should go to the BMW website and look at a 800 GS?? My main point of reference is Jacobs Ladder in Tasmania, Australia. (see pic)

I wanna do this trip next year. Would the Suzuki Bandit 1250S get me from Darwin, NT to Jacob's Ladder, TAS and back again, hassle and monkey but free???

The Bandit would be capable, others have ridden dirt on them. That being said I prefer to have the Bandit and a F800GS at my disposal.

You know a dealer with a left over '11? Let me know. Cheers
