I admire the clean bikes, only because mine has 60,000 miles of bad roads on her and she's looking like a well aged cougar. If I had to do it all over again (Which I know I will ) I'm going to pay more attention to detail when I clean up after a rough Adv Ride. I'm hoping to touch up the frame paint and have some parts powder coated. It will take a lot of elbow grease this winter to make her look young again

Kansas Chalk Pyramids

These chalk pyramids are located in far western Kansas. They are sort of an anomoly and quite a contrast to the usual flat prairie all around. Friends Larry and Glen rode and camped for the weekend. Neat area!!! Almost bagged a ring-necked pheasant on the way home, Just missed the windshield by inches!!! I was too busy ducking to pluck some tail feathers!!!

When were you there? I had planned to stop by there on my trip from Denver to Hutchinson, KS, but my fuel pump shit the bed and only made it to Oakley.

Nice pics!

This was on our way home from the KTM Rally, On our Way to Moab. Mid Sept.

What a beautiful area, and very fun trails.

It's so hard for me to keep track of people on the road. I just never know what my schedule is or where I might end up at the end of the day.

We are home now.

Might be back in CO in the spring/summer.

DakarNick- We were just there this weekend 10/13. Camped in a major thunderstorm Fri. night at Kanopolis Lake. The weather cleared by Sat. morning. The rest of the day was clear and beautiful. Camped at Cedar Bluffs Res. on Sat. night. Some cool wind came up late, but it blew most of the rain on north. Hope you got your fuel pump fixed. Mine went out at around 35,000 miles. Replaced it with a new one. Now have 56,056 miles on the Beast. F---in best bike I have ever owned. If you are ever farther East, be sure to stop in Marquette KS. and see the Kansas Motorcycle Museum. Cheers!!
