Just a reminder that the Bicentennial Mall is likely close to you (and me too). Of course that means riding into downtown Nashville (not really that much fun).
Good point. I'd completely missed that one. I'm trying to figure out how to get over to Radnor this weekend as well.

Has anyone thought of contacting the PR folks at DNR and telling them about this project? Might get a bit more access to park areas and some VIP treatment in exchange for the free-to-them publicity.

Great idea. I'll see if I can find a way to contact them.

I'll try to participate in this. I've visited and camped or fished at several of the East Tn area state parks over the years. The ocoee/hiwassee is one of my favorites. Most of my riding is in the GSMNP, tellico and the rural backroads around here but I will make an effort to take some picts as I visit the state parks in the future.

It sounds like you have plenty of knowledge of the parks in your area and some of the things that the Inmates would like to know (secret fishing holes) .

Some of the best parks in Tennessee are in your neck of the woods. So it's great to have you onboard. When you know you're going to a park, post the park and date on here and I'll add you to the list.

Sounds like you had a great ride. Bonus that your wife likes to ride as well. I need to visit Land Between the Lakes one weekend.

Sounds like you and Andy rode in some difficult weather. Didn't mean for you to risk life and limb....but the report was good.

Thanks.

(Kind of like Clark Griswold at the Grand Canyon...just nod a bit and we'll motor to the next park)

This little 260 mile trip, all paved and as curvy as we have out here hits;
  1. Big Hill Pond
  2. Pickwick Landing
  3. Chickasaw
  4. Meeman Shelby
We pass right by Shiloh park as well. Also, If you're feelin' froggy, we can hit a "bonus park" (Pinson Mounds) and bring it up to to five! After this, you'll only have 49 more to visit!

GPX file for the route.

The window of opportunity to do this has swung open.Tomorrow morning. (10/21/12)
I don't think we'll have time for Shiloh though.
If anyone wants to tag along, PM me or reply to this thread.
