Wow, that really shows how he could have avoided the wreck if he'd just stayed cranked over.

The really sad part of this whole situation is a local rider is now in the hospital in critical condition from crashing on the fluids left on the pavement from this accident.

Cut and paste from easttnriders thread,

"A messege from his wife, Mel

Jeff is now stable but still in critical condition. Injuries he has sustained include fractured skull at frontal lobe and orbital area, missing four front teeth with torn lip, facial reconstruction in the future, broken C1,C2,T3,L2,L3 and L4, broken ribs on both sides and collapsed lungs with lacerations to liver and kidney. Thank you for all your love, prayers, and support."

The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.

The photographers do not cause accidents.

People riding over their skill level cause accidents. People not paying attention to the road cause accidents. People riding too fast for conditions cause accidents. Occasionally, shitty luck even causes accidents, but the photographers aren't exactly running out there and knocking folks over, now are they?

Play the Killboy sequence but put your finger on the screen, on the Vette driver's face and watch a beautiful example of target fixation!

Thank doG he didn't kill one of us!

This is real simple. Everyone rides their own ride. How much judgement, common sense, and skill YOU bring to the ride is YOUR issue. Not the issue of another rider not affecting you, some car you are fixating on, or a camera taking your picture that distracts you. YOU are distracted. The camera is incapable of distracting you.

Own it. Good or bad.

Sucks the dude is hurt, but he probably lacks skill, training, and judgement necessary to ride safely, as so many sadly do. This is evidenced not by snobbery, but by what I see other riders doing when I am driving and riding 100 miles round trip to work every day.

No images.

They've got restrictions, their webmaster's probably had problems with webbots so no linked images.

Here is the thread so we can read up ourselves:

WOW. he could have stayed in the turn, but that was a perfect execution of the MSF stopping in the turn technique.
