Went with a buddy last night to pick up his new-to-him Thruxton... fun times.
Saw a Triumph scrambler and sat on one for the first time. Granted I'll have a lot less power, but very happy that mine won't be nearly as big or heavy! I am however, madly in love with the color. I wonder if I can get someone to get my project in the same... Matte Khaki Green I believe it's called.

Got the massively heavy front sprocket (er... what's it called fora belt? Pulley?) off. Used a .50 bullet to lock up the wheel... I knew that'd come in handy one day.
![]() Also got the stupid bar risers off... Had to mod some bolts with the tig... perhaps the kit comes with bolts, but I gotta do something here to make the time pass. ![]() Also took off the headlight. I'd like to have the (plastic) headlight bucket painted, so I pulled that. Front fender's off as well.

Awesome link - thanks! Seriously stoked about that place.
Rock Moss Green is lookin' good too... as is Midnight Green Pearl... and I don't normally like red that much, but Carnival Red Pearl is a looker. Looks like they have an 858 area code, which means they're not too far - always a good thing!

Nice, I'm in SD, would be cool to just pick it up locally if they're into that kind of thing...
Not Ryca rrrrrreally thread related, but made some more T-shirts today - mostly related to my other project. ![]() And here was my first round, month or two ago: ![]() All images shameless stolen off the internats.

My better half loves the 'Cafe, and I've been curious to see one of these come together. I have been kicking around the idea of a DR650 based scrambler/tracker, but I'd like to see how yours come out first.

Not a whole lot new.
Ryca did upload a CS-2 Assembly vid on YouTube as well as a well as a written guide. Links below for those interested. Got tired of waiting on the kit - picked up a sportbike project bike a couple of weeks ago, so I've been working on that and the KLRE a lot. Three projects in my half of the garage. Oh, and got T-shirts goin' in color now too - pics on KLRE build thread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8zav...0u1IS6SswyVzfQ https://docs.google.com/document/d/1..._DusWzRHM/edit

Looks like the kits can be ordered. That's the good news. I spoke with Ryan @ Ryca on the phone today and the kits are almost ready - some parts are held up in shipping due to the Long Beach strike or some such thing. Will be sending them my tank and hub tomorrow! The parts are boxed up and ready to go - duder at Ryca said that about 1 in 5 tanks show up with shipping damage, so pack carefully, and consider shipping the parts separately... I took him up on both recommendations.
