I bent my bar clamps while riding the CDT and need to get replacements. Should I get factory parts or are there universal aftermarket ones that will work for less $$? I will be using them in conjunciton with my ROX risers. Thanks

Did you actually bend the castings, or just the bolts that run through them? You might get off cheap by just replacing the bolts.

Bar clamps

KIK ROX,

I have an OEM bar clamp that I don't need. If you want it, it's yours. Just pay for shipping (coming from Hawaii).

Aloha,

Maybe this has been discussed before, but after reading up on the new Terra, are we doomed to go the route of the XR650R? I keep up with the Terra thread and no, its not a replacement for the TE line, so where does that leave us? In my opinion the TE's and the XR were THE best dual sports EVER. The Terra is too roadie for me, so where do I go for a bike when it's time to replace the 610? Where's MY new bike? What the f#$% am I gonna do? Who's going to cater to my tastes? No where close to replacing mine, new bike envy maybe? KTM? Just somewhat depressed about it right now, maybe I just need sleep.

Rattletrap, I here what you saying. I think the KTM690 is now the last bike of its kind but the price is way beyond what I am willing to pay for one. Looks like my 610 will be with me for a while to come.

Before the TR650 owners get on and defend its integrity I am sure the TR is a great bike but it is way to road orientated for my riding needs.

My thoughts exactly on Husky's shift in emphasis with the Terra. I just don't see it being as dirt worthy as the 610. I also agree the 690 may now be best option. I actually had a down payment on the first 690s coming in, but pulled it after test riding the 610. If I wanted street oriented I would have stuck with the 690. It's sad our options are getting fewer. Luckily my 610 is going strong and I have no plans to get rid of it.

Sweet looking bike but looks to me more like in the range of the KTM500EXC or Husky TE511, big arse enduro bikes with high revving over square high maintenance engines. Doesn't look like it will do long K's well. My TE610 is happy sitting at highway speeds all day long if I wish or the need arises. What sort of oil capacity does the Beta have? How hard is it reving at 100kph? Looking at specs less than 7.9L fuel capacity, not going to get far on that.

This is an awesome bike and I'd love to have one in the shed (In fact the new Beta 300 2T would be a nice replacement for my ageing RMX) but for me this is in a different class to the TE610/630, KTM690 range.

570 Bergs are dead. From 2013 all Bergs are KTM's with blue plastics.
