Never mind, just discovered that doesn't apply. I live on a hill and don't usually park in neutral.

Just sent a request to helibars to see if they'd do an adjustable bar for cafe to commuting.

kind of an odd request, but perhaps somebody with a v7 and a bonnie could measure the tank width (at the knee dents) for me. i was sitting on a v7 and some bonnevilles tuesday and was wanting to confirm my 'impressions' with some real numbers...

thanks!

I'm hoping to either buy one or place an order for a V7 Stone this week. Our local dealer has a V7 Racer, which pretty much stole all my attention while I was there. I would have walked out the door with it right then and there if it werent' for the fact I'd be too obsessed with keeping all that chrome clean to ride it. They have two other V7s in stock, but I'm not sure if they're Racers or other models.

I was still enamored with the bike, and when I got home I discovered the Stone. Toss in the fact my girlfriend said she digs the classic looking bikes and she'd actually ride pillion with me on the bike (she doesn't ride 2-up on my sportbikes), and it kinda closed the deal.

Oh, and I don't suppose anyone would know if V7Classic crash bars/engine guards would fit on the 2013 models or the Stone? I think they should since the core body and engine dimensions seem the same, but this is just going from pictures and a few dimensions I've found online.

I had some questions about the generator output and service intervals, but I think I found a PDF copy of the manual online for the Stone.

Stone

The Stone deserves it's own thread. It's a great motorcycle, and MG should sell a ton of them, which is probably not something they've every done. Beginners will find it easy to ride, while experienced riders will appreciate that it's got that real genuine Moto Guzzi engine. I test rode one and all I can say to anyone who's considering it is, buy it!

My V7 Classic was the first motorcycle my girlfriend really enjoyed pillioning, as opposed to being a reluctant passenger.

You guys are driving me nutz with this V7 talk and pictures.
Lucky I do not have a local dealer, otherwise I could get in very serious trouble.

Can't be too far away.

The Stone is the one I like because I want the tubeless tires and lack of bling.

Does the Stone come in any other colors besides the matte black? The matte paint thing never appealed to me and I wish these brands would start to get away from it.

Alls you gotta do is visit the Moto Guzzi US webpage. Comes in gloss white as well. Personally, I think the flat black Stone looks badass.

Ibelieve that's matt white.

Nope. It's a lustrous glossy white. Here's my photo and first impressions.
