Coupla questions having never been:

What are these pumped up scooters in the photos?

Is there really no alt route for trucks?

as was mentioned before, those "scooters" are honda rukus's. afaik, trucks are not allowed on the dragon, but they go there anyway, as can be seen. bikers have died because of it - there is simply no way the trucks are able to stay in their lane...

Yeah, people love messing with a Ruckus. Here's a video of a few in action, including a cute chick.

A Ruckus, huh? Must be under a rock here, never seen one.

I'll admit it, I'm here for the photos; kinda tough to wade through all the chest thumping posts at times.

Trucks: couldn't imagine it was a good route; safety issues aside, what a complete hassle to wrestle the rig on that road.

It still bugs me a bit when someone says "begs the question" the "wrong" way - but then I remind myself that is probably because I am being a geek.
Great. Now it's going to bug me, too.

That's what makes it so fun. The ever present fear you are going to get run over as you manage 18 mph uphill.
I miss my Ruk. I think I'm going to buy another one just for for the sheer stupid underpowered fun of it.

Well, I loved my Elite CH80....but I think the 50 would find me pushing it up the hill.

Check this out. The guy I bought my Bonnie hack from (with only 72miles on it) had this in his garage out in California. I'm no Ruckus expert, but I believe this is a Big Ruckus...with a sidecar of course.

I'm willing to bet it is still there, and probably available for sale. He's thinning his collection of hacks.

For the next several days I will be telling a true abdenture from my own life. It seems harrowing, and will involve a sighting of Richard Gere, but I want to share this for many reasons.
