Probably because they saw how "well" KTM did with the 990SMR.BTW- know what the 990SMR development team calls the Nuda? Lunch.

Of all the KTM 990's, the SM-T appears to have been very popular - demand is still there. If Husky made the Nuda just a little more versatile (as they originally promised), I believe the combination of power and light weight would sell here in the US. It just needs a little bit more...

Suspension Travel?
So I've been going back over specs for several bikes, including many KTM's and Husky's.
I show the suspension travel for the Nuda/R at 210mm / 180 mm (8.3" f / 7.1" r). If I have the correct numbers:
At present, the point is moot for me here in the USA, but I hope 1) to learn more about Huskys designs in general (for bikes designed after the BMW purchase); and 2) that some version of this bike will make it to the USA as our economy recovers (ever so slowly).

Go talk to the guys at Touratech in Seattle, they have one that is really good on dirt!

Is that for real? I thought it was just a "Concept" to stir the Husky pot. Also, I thought that the Nuda wasn't available in the USA. I hope that the TT guys in Seattle know about the TT efforts in Germany!

I spoke with Touratech guys today at the Motorcycle Show in Seattle. They knew that TT had done the modified Nuda, but had none of the details - since it didn't affect their market here in the USA.
Then, when I was at the BMW / Husky area, one of their reps said that discussions on bringing the Nuda to the USA are progressing. Any commitment so far is probably only verbal, since the press doesn't have anything, but it was enough to keep me cautiously hopeful that Husky will bring some form of the Nuda to the USA in the next year.
