Anybody have a Moto Guzzi V7?

Wow. I thought it was matte white also. Very nice.

Hope to be picking up my 2013 V7R on Saturday. Wife unit is still a bit pissed, nothing new there.

i think matte white would have looked bad in a hurry though...

i went and looked at the v7 lineup at pro italia this weekend.

the guzzi stone is amazingly beautiful, light, skinny, did i say beautiful.

alas, they wouldnt sell me the "demo" they had, and he kept tryin to sell me a racer, but as i use it as my primary transport, the racer won't cut it, plus its not my style. i needed a bike by tuesday as i needed to go back to work, and my bmw broke down on saturday (wife said NO MORE classic BMW). pro italia said 2 to 4 weeks before they'd get another classic, or stone. so i had to pass.

the little 750 is a tidy powerplant, but with my size, (6'2 300lbs) i felt itd be too anemic.

i went and bought a new triumph bonneville instead. so far, pleased

Oooops, I stand corrected. On their web site it lookd matte to me. I just checked the brouchure and they call it "pure white". Yep, the white would be fo me...... got a matte green Triumph Scramble, now it time for a little flash. Add a touch of red and green to the white and BINGO........ very I-talian!

Thanks for clearing that up. Ya got a full on picture of that??

That's a rather pretty motorcycle there Brent.
Metal tanks this year, right?
Upon further inspection, I see it has fork black gaiters. I think maybe a black handlebar and a solo seat ( from the CR model?), and you've got a pretty stunning piece.
Alright so if I sell the H1 and the A7, give the Sherpa to jnr, ....................maybe.

Yes, that bike is gorgeous. It was the demo bike at Arizona Superbikes in Chandler, AZ. I have not bought one yet. I am still trying to decide whether I want a Stone or a Special. I am still anticipating a test ride of the Stone ... maybe tomorrow. Here are my two choices:

The Stone with aluminum mag wheels and solid paint will be available shortly. The Special, with wire wheels and tubed tires, and two-tone paint will not be available until February or maybe even March.

I just wish they'd offer it with ABS.

I took a test ride today. The 2013 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone in Glossy White is a gorgeous bike. I tested a 2011 V7 Classic last June, so there have been several months between the two rides. I think the 2013 is lighter, smoother engine and transmission, and more flickable. That may be due to the lighter bike. I have shot some video and am working on that. I will post later and answer questions after the video is published.

The new engine has slightly better fueling, and the better turn in (Stone) is due to the lighter wheels (the rest of the bike is the same in comparison terms in regards to weight). The tubed wheels of the Classic/Racer are heavy in comparison and most definitely affect the poorish handling characteristics of the bike.

Racer and Special have aluminum rims and the same published curb weight as the Stone. If tubed tires are heavier, everything else being equal, the spoked aluminum wheels themselves must actually be lighter than the cast....(!)

Classic does indeed have heavier steel rims and higher curb weight.

it is the steel rims on the classic that i speak of. thanks for clarifying. i was of the belief that the racer had steel spoke wheels as well....again, thanks!

Guzzi published 395 lbs w/o fuel.
