I am sure that its not just Rolex that get knocked off, Omega are quite sought after too so expect that they would be copied as well.
I just happened to be in / leaving the Rolex stealer ship when I thought about it. The other nearest Rolex dealer to me is 1000miles away.... Not intending to buy any time soon anyway. Hay Ewe

There are fakes of everything, even "affordable" Seikos. Most are fantasy creations with a Seiko logo sticked on, but some are careful reproductions. They even fake the cases.
The 6138-7000 pilot watch is one to be careful about. http://www.thewatchsite.com/index.ph...c,29372.0.html |

There were some fake Rolex's that fool experts. There were some coming out of Russia after the Soviet Union fell that even used swiss movements and real rolex dials. At the time one of the Rolex dealers in Dallas said the only way to tell was to open it up.

The real high-end ones endeavor to mimic Rollie's teflon coated geartrain too.

Here are a couple that I have purchased since the last time I posted in this thread. The one on the left is an Asian market Citizen Automatic (NJ2166-55A). The one on the right is a Squale 1515, also an automatic with an ETA movement.
![]() Since taking the picture I have changed the bands. The Citizen now has brown leather and the Squale is on a NATO.

My wife and I were invited to a preview showing of the new James Bond movie Skyfall last evening. The movie was GREAT...JB Hudson Jewelers invited us and they had the new 50 year Omega 007 mens and womens watches on hand for us to check out. I loved the watch. The size was perfect for my tastes (I do not care for the new large mens styles) and I can read it with out my glasses on. I did not see the movement thru the back but I understand it looks like a 9mm bullet. I almost forgot, the MSRP for the mens in $5000.
My everyday watch is a Rolex date just SS & Gold that I bought in 1983. I wear inexpensive watches when I ride. Dudley
