What's the story on the tire-was it a required route or optional?

That was right after the gates - Shorter route, but you gotta go over the tires. There's another route around the tires that's a little longer with a corner in it most riders were taking.

They did the same thing last year too iirc.

After looking at some helmet cam video from the race, I may have to set up near the wall/u-turn on the northwest side next time.

Just a long hike out there.

It is a long hike....you can't get much further away from where you park. It's pretty slow speed with not a lot of action, but there could be some sweet fall overs!

The east third of the place is MX - the back 2/3 is enduro. About 6mi of track.
