After several fun years of using an '08 Moto Guzzi Norge as my touring bike, my age has taken me to the point that the Norge's riding position became painful on 500 mile days. I really liked that bike, but a recent round trip from Dallas to Key West informed me that it was no longer what I needed for long tours and I have a trip of about 6k miles coming up in May. So, last Thursday the Norge departed
and was replaced by this 2009 Electra Glide Classic. I've owned a Road King in the past and enjoyed the comfort, but wasn't crazy about the handling. Since they changed the frames in '09, I decided to give the big Harleys another try. It had 11,758 miles when I bought it and will need a set of tires soon. Should be just about broken in and ready to go. One small ding in front fender right under the triple tree (don't know how they managed to dent it in that spot), but otherwise near perfect.![]() ![]() ![]() I don't think I posted my around town Harley when I got it a couple months ago. It's an '04 XL1200R that had 3,750 miles. ![]()

How's the cornering clearance on that? I test rode a similar bike, I believe it was called the Fat Bob? It had the dual headlights. Every HD I've had the chance to ride has me scraping pegs way too much.
