I just ran into this guy 20 minutes ago. I tried to take consolation in the fact that my 950 is nicer than his v-strom and my 500 is nicer than his XR... but then it occurred to me that the taxes he paid on a $300K vehicle was more than what all five of our bikes put together cost ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The rack under the XR is actually the rear deck that attaches to the truck - he can carry one bike on the deck by itself or uses the trailer for two.
He's headed to Vermont today... says he average about 10mpg. His "big trip" was supposed to happen last year but didn't for whatever reason.. he's still headed towards it. iirc he has an ADV username of something like "road trek" but doesn't get on here often.

I got the 500's valves checked, trials wheel put back on the rear, golem filter installed and oil/filter changed.
Then I ran to the store for some essentials ![]() the fridge will be put to good use this weekend ![]()
